World Map

A new land means new enemies! However, before we get to that, you may want to visit this page to learn about an out-of-the-way site. There are exactly four new enemies here you can find around this region. The first, and probably most common enemy you will find is the Zombie. This monster does not have that much HP which means one use of the E. Key is an instant death blow to it. If, for some reason, you let it attack you, it can do a medium amount of damage. Rot is another attack it can use which will turn your characters into a zombie!! The only way to reverse this effect is use a T. Drop, which you can buy from most towns, or rest at an Inn. You'll grab a pretty rewarding amount of 105EP/54GP for beating one of these guys (in a one round time span). The second enemy is not that common, but gives a ridiculous amount of EP and GP. It is called the Stool. This creature can be killed in one hit by practically anyone, including Nina! It is SLOW and has a LOW DEF AND ATTACK RATING. The only decent thing it has is its Poison attack, which can poison your character in battle. It shouldn't be able to do that to you since your characters should be able kill it off during the first round of battle. You get a decent reward of 60EP/30GP for your troubles for taking it out in one round. The third enemy is called the Blurp. This little guy has a pretty good attack rating. However, its defense is rather low. One quick attack on it is pretty much all it takes. The only exception to how it may still be alive is if Nina attacks it. It would be strange that Nina is attacking when she is supposed to be using the E. Key, or healing in emergency situations. You gain 60EP/30GP for killing one of these things in one round. The final, and probably the most beneficial enemy in this area is the Warhog. This guy has around 50HP, is slow, and can be killed in one round using the E. Key and Rang together. All you have to do is have Ryu attack, while Nina uses the E. Key. Since the Warhog is slow, it probably won't get an attack off before you kill it. It can do some medium damage vs. both Ryu and Nina if you let it attack. Defeating him nabs you a great 240EP/120GP gain. There is also a chance that he'll drop Meat, which recovers a bit of HP to the party. This is by far the best enemy you can find in this region to level up with. You can meet two, which if defeated in one round, will net you 480EP and 240GP!! Near the bridge, you are also able to fight your beginning friends, such as Fleas, Glooms, etc. The real basic strategy in this region is to use the Rang with Ryu, followed by the E. Key with Nina. This should be enough to kill any group of enemies. Before you start leveling up, follow the path you see leading south, from the bridge of Winlan. Keep heading in a southeastern direction until you see two towns. Head into the western town first.

    Tuntar's Treasures

  • Cure
  • Herb
  • Tuntar consists of mostly humans. You should head east across the two bridges from the entrance. Buy some Herbs, Acorns, Antdts, and T. Drops if you are running low on them. You can buy one or two Lifes as well, provided you have the money to do so. After storing and purchasing the necessary items, head into the Inn. Rest if you need to, and be sure to grab the Cure, located in a drawer in the back room. You'll notice there is no Dragon Shrine here!! Try to shake off the shocking discovery and head south of the Inn. You can talk to people around the area outside, during the day. If it's night, you'll find them in their homes. You'll learn about a Ring and a Stone Robot. One person will tell you to visit the chief for information regarding the stone robot. The chief's house is to the north of the four houses- in the southern area of town. If you pay him a visit, he talks about this problem dealing with Tantar's Ring, and claims he doesn't know anything about the robot. Go upstairs, in the Chief's house, and pick up the Herb found in the cabinent. You can talk to the woman here to learn about her fiancee in the next village. You've done all you can. It's now time to head over to the eastern town of Tantar!

    Tantar Treasures

  • W. Ptn
  • Charm
  • Saw
  • Tantar consists of the Forest Clan, meaning, mostly everyone you meet here doesn't look like a human. From the entrance, head west across the two bridges. Your first stop should be the Weapons Shop. Whenever you see a store like this, you usually think, 'better equipment, yes!!'. Actually, the only decent thing you probably should buy is a Bandana for Nina. The other equipment is not really worth your money. Their defense isn't even higher of what you have on (if you had collected the treasures in the dungeons earlier)! If you have the Rang, I wouldn't switch it for the Scythe. The Rang is FAR MORE USEFUL than a one hit weapon, believe me. Don't de-equip it, at least not for now. If you don't have the Rang, then you should go back to Karma and get it. If you want to know where it is, look for it in the Karma Section in the Winlan-Tantar section. After you've at least bought the Bandana and equipped it on Nina, head into the Dragon Shrine by the Weapons Shop and save. Then go to the Inn and grab a Charm from the drawer in the back room. Rest if necessary. If you talk to the people around the Inn and down the south area of town, you'll learn about how the Dark Dragons blocked the river up north. After you're done socializing outside, head into the house around the middle of town. Here, you will find the chief, sitting on his chair- looking blue. Talk to him to learn about how they have to give the Ring up or they won't get their water back. Sounds like trouble! Go upstairs and grab the W. Ptn in the drawer located in the western room. You can talk to the guy in the bed to learn about the Forest of Despair and how he was attacked by the Dark Dragons there. Before you go trying to barge in through the trees blocking the Forest of Despair, you should visit the blacksmith nearby. Exit the chief's house, and head south, where you'll find four houses. Enter the house with smoke coming from the roof. Inside, you'll see a big man hammering on an iron stand. Talk to him and he'll offer to make you a saw if you bring him an I. Ore. Give him the I. Ore you found in the Cave to Romero and he'll make you the Saw! With this, you'll be able to enter the Forest of Despair! When you're ready, save, and exit town.

    World Map

If you want, you could head to Camlon right now and talk to the guy beside the clothed monument in the middle of town. He'll tell you to close your eyes, and when you reopen them, you'll find a statue of yourself! It's pretty good to see that you've become a hero in Camlon. Anyway, to get to the Forest of Despair, head back to the road located northwest of Tantar, following the path north. You should see the path go into a group of trees. Follow it in and it'll say a tree is blocking the way, and then the saw will be put to use automatically. After a blank screen and a few noises, the Forest of Despair will be accessible! Before you enter, I recommend Ryu being at Level 10, while Nina at Level 7. An easy way to level up is to go the the northeastern end of the continent, where the Stone Robot is. Here you'll be guaranteed a fight with at least one of the four new enemies. The best thing about this is you'll be able to find Warhogs around this area! Just keep fighting, and using the E. Key along with the Rang. You'll eventually gain levels in due process. When you are ready enter the Forest of Despair.

  • There are four types of enemies you can find here. They are Zombie, Stool, G. Knight, and S. Rider. Zombies and Stools basically die by the hand of the E. Key combined with the Rang. The same goes for the S. Rider and G. Knight. The S. Rider shouldn't be able to get a shot off, and sometimes drops C. Stns! The G. Knight probably will be able to attack once, dealing 10HP damage, on average, to Nina or Ryu. It sometimes drops a C. Stn. Try to gather as many C. Stns as you can! You will need them! Now that you know your enemies in this eerie forest, head north and then west. When you come to a fork in the path, head down the southern path. Follow it till you find another fork, where you should take the eastern path and obtain a Herb. Now take the western northern path, back at the fork. Keep on heading north until you see a chest. Open the chest for a T. Drop. Go back down and enter the first eastern path you see. Skip the northern path you see and take the southern one. Skip the western path you spot and head south. You will then come across three new paths. Head into the path going south. After going down a bit, you'll be in yet another crossroad of paths. The choices are: northwest, southeast, and southwest. Take the southwestern path, and follow it to find two chests. The right chest contains a Life, while the left has a T. Drop. Now continue on east down the path you can see, to the southeast of the chests. Follow the path to eventually find yourself heading north into a fork. Go up the path to the right of you. Keep heading north to find a chest with a Wrist! Equip it on Ryu. You see the path to the west of the chest? Head up that to eventually find yourself heading south into a crossroad. Take the path nearest west of you. Head north, past a western path. You'll see another path heading west, but ignore it and press on north. Keep following this path where you will eventually find the Dark Dragon Stronghold!

  • Before you start heading up, let us preview the monsters in this area. There is ONLY one new enemy you haven't met before, and that is the Midget. It has around 55HP and gives 120EP/60GP if you can beat it in one round. It is slow, therefore you should be able to kill it using the Rang and E. Key strategy before it can even attack. Killing three Midgets in battle nets you a handsome reward of 360EP/180GP, which is pretty good at your current level. You can also meet Warhogs, which give a great amount of EP and GP. The two enemies that drop C. Stns here are the Zards and S. Riders. Each of the enemies that were mentioned can easily be taken out using the E. Key/Rang strategy. At the entrance, before you start heading upwards, make sure you are fully healed. You'll see two guards blocking the way, if you look north. Talk to either one of them to initiate combat.

    Bowman/Lancer

The Bowman has around 75HP, while the Lancer has around 100HP. Both can hit Nina and Ryu for about 10-15HP damage. The Lancer takes more damage from Ryu's physical (around 58HP damage) than the Bowman. That doesn't really matter, however. Two rounds using the E. Key/Rang strat should finish them off. You recieve 338EP/260GP as a reward.

    Aftermath

Afterwards, head north until you fall into a hole! You may be surprised at first, but you'll be even more surprised to discover four chests on the floor where you land! Open all of them to net a treasury consisting of a LongSD, Life, T. Drop, and another Life. Don't bother equipping the LongSD, the Rang is more useful. Instead, head up the stairs you see. When you reach the top of the stairs, head north. Start heading south when the path turns. You'll eventually turn west, into a fork. Going south will make you fall into a pit, so head north instead. Head west, where you should eventually spot two more guards. Heal if you need to, then speak to either one of them to initiate combat.

    Bowman/Lancer

All you have to do is basically use the E. Key/Rang strategy. After two rounds, you can kiss them goodbye, and be on your merry way with 338EP/260GP.

    Aftermath

Head through the path the guards were blocking. Instead of heading west, down the staircase, go south to find four chests. You'll get an inventory consisting of a Herb, T. Drop, Life2, and an Acorn. Now head down the stairs you passed previously. On the floor you come to, head down the stairs you see. You'll see four more chests in this room! The southeastern chest of the four contains a trap that lowers the lead character's HP by 50. Be sure to heal that character after the trap initiates. The item you'll find in the trapped chest is a WolfHT, which can be equipped on a character you'll meet soon. The other three contain a total inventory of a T. Drop and 2 Herbs. When you're done searching through the chests, head up the stairs. Now head directly east, past the first path you see heading north, and take the second path you see. You should follow that path until you see a chest to the south of you. Open it to find a Herb. Head directly west from the chest, past the first path heading north. Eventually, you'll see two paths, one north and south. Take the south route to discover a chest with a Herb. Afterwards, head north. Following this path will lead you to three troops, with an old man behind them. Heal up to full, and talk to one of the soldiers to initiate combat!

    Lancer/Bowman/Lancer

This is an easy battle. Just use the same strat as in previous battles. Two rounds and it's all over. You gain 494EP/390GP.

    Aftermath

The old man will come down and tell you about how the Dark Dragons have weapons stored in the back room. This old man is the chief of Tuntar, so it seems. You can skip an extra battle of you continue to reply "no" to his offer. In any case, I will take the hard way through this. Say yes, and the chief will lead you into a room. The cell will then close! You will then realize that this chief is an imposter! A monster named Pog will come out from the back room and then attack!

    Pog

Pog has around 300HP. What you should do first is have Ryu just plain attack, while Nina casts Fort on the party. After Fort has been cast, have Nina use Atk-Up on Ryu, increasing his attack from 29HP damage to around 41-46HP damage! After that, have Nina use the E. Key if she isn't busy healing. Nina's curative/support spells ALWAYS GO FIRST, so use that to your advantage. Pog's attacks are realitively weak. He is able to attack twice with his two heads, doing around 8-11 damage per hit. He also has an attack where he spits a fireball. It does around 7HP damage vs. one target and only hits once. I don't know why Pog doesn't choose to use his double attack all the time, since his fireball is pretty weak and hits only once. This being the case, heal if your HP gets around 30. Perhaps Pog uses his head too much, since making him reach his second wind is pretty easy. After the message, 'Pog got up', just use the Rang and E. Key one more time to finish him off. You gain a great amount of EP and GP, 1400EP/1800GP to be exact.

    Aftermath

If you thought it was over, then you were quite wrong. The imposter chief will get angry. At the same time, an arrow will fly in front of him and hit the switch, thus opening the cell door Ryu and Nina are behind. A Tantar-like being will come and confront the imposter chief. He will comment on how you kept them busy while he rescued the real chief. The imposter chief will get really upset and decide to take you all on. He changes into the General and begins his assault!

    General

The General's HP does not exceed 285HP, but is higher than 200HP. So basically, you've got another Pog-like enemy, except for the fact he's even faster, and his attacks can do around 14-20 HP damage to your characters, even with Fort in affect. First off, have Bo placed in the back row. To do this, use the blue switch with the vertical up and down arrows on the first menu you can select in battle. Then just select Bo and tap the talk button once to move him back, and vice versa. The second thing to do in battle is to heal Nina or Ryu if they are low on HP from the last battle. After everyone is fine, have Nina use Atk-Up on Ryu, as well as using the E. Key. Bo's magic attack, Fry, is the most expensive, and most damaging spell to use against the General. The General should say 'Arrgh!', in about 2-3 rounds, signaling his second wind. Ryu can still attack for a decent amount of damage vs. the General, though not as much. Heal if your HP gets near 30 or so. Since the General should be faster than you, plan ahead for when to heal, and what not. Recover Bo's AP by having Nina use an Acorn. All it takes is Bo using his Fry attack to finish off the General during his second wind. The battle shouldn't last more than four rounds, concluding in a reward of 1560EP/390GP!

    !!!!Victory!!!!

After the battle, the General will comment on how the "war" is not over yet. Then he will run away into the back room where Pog used to be. The REAL chief will then be there, beside you. He will talk about the Stone Robot and then leave. Bo will then talk about how the Dark Dragons are his enemy and he will then join your cause! When you get Bo, you will notice how he is at a pretty low level than you are. Do not worry, his levels gain relatively fast, especially with the enemies around this area. You can either level up here, or at the northeastern corner of the continent. If you fight here, you have a chance of stocking up on C. Stns, which will be REALLY USEFUL later. If you fight outside, than you have a chance of gaining Meat, AND you can save in a town whenever you want by warping to it. As I said earlier, keep Bo in the back row of battle, where he is more protected, and can attack and use magic effectively. I would equip the WolfHT you found in this dungeon on him. When you get back to Tantar, buy and equip the ShortBW on him. Another unique thing about Bo is with him in the lead on the overworld map, the party is able to go through trees! That is right, he can move through the thick forests and brushes no problem! Not only that, but he can also hunt animals on the world map you've probably seen a couple of times. Just hold the talk button to aim, and release it to fire your arrow. One shot is what it mainly takes to kill an animal. Some useful items you can get is Meat from a boar, which is relatively easy to kill. Be sure to have Mrbl3 handy if you plan on hunting, for it cancels out those annoying battles. That's basically it for Bo's abilities inside and outside of battle. When you are ready, leave the Dark Dragon Stronghold, along with the Forest of Despair.

    World Map

Head back to Tantar and buy Bo a SuedeAR and ShortBW. Note that the Bow takes up two hands, thus Bo cannot equip shields. There is also a side event you can do. Go here to learn more about it. After saving in Tantar, head over to Tuntar. Go to the chief's house to learn about a secret at Aqua. Aqua is right by Romero, so head on down there!

    Romero

When you emerge from the Dragon Shrine, you'll find the music in Romero has changed. Things have gotten gloomy since you've left. If you talk to the townsfolk, you'll learn that zombies roam the night! You'll actually see zombies at night if you arrive during the late hour! To find out how to fix this catastrophe, talk to everyone in town, during the day. I've heard you have to talk to the chief's daughter in Tuntar, though I haven't verified it yet. Once you've spoken to all the townsfolk, you'll compile information regarding zombies, and how the cleansing water can cure the soil. It seems there is this WtrJr you must find. The Elder will tell you about Aqua only if you rid his town of zombies. Guess you have to find the WtrJr and the cleansing water! To begin the search for the cleansing water, exit Romero, and reenter at night.

    Romero (at night)

    Romero's Treasures

  • WtrJr
  • Herb
  • Everyone has gone into their homes. The only people out and about are... zombies! If you talk to them, they'll mostly just say 'Garuu' at you. The main person you need to talk to is the old woman in the purple robe, by the entrance of town (where the tombs are). She'll resist giving you the WtrJr, but her zombie husband will convince her it is time for him to go. She will then agree, and the zombie husband will push the tomb by him, revealing a hole. He'll tell you about the cleansing water in a cave to the west. Before you head out, go down the hole. You'll drop into an area with two chests. The bottom chest contains a Herb, while the top contains the WtrJr! Now you can hold the cleansing water! Head south and go up the stairs to exit.

    World Map

If you want to save or buy anything, go enter Romero and do so. Once you've finished your business, put Bo in the lead. Head west of Romero until you reach the area around Karma. At that point, head south. You should eventually spot a cave. Go around the lake, and enter the cave.

  • At this point, the whole party should be at least over the Level 10 range. Being at these levels will insure ease while passing through this cave. If you need a good place to level up, try fighting the enemies in the area northeast of Tantar and Tuntar. The Warhogs give a plentiful amount of EP and GP in that area. The enemies in the Cleansing Water Cave mostly give a decent, if not unreasonable, amount of EP and GP. You'll meet some of your friends from various places like the Blurp and G. Knight. Both can be taken out easily by using the E. Key/Rang Strategy. If that doesn't finish them off Bo's last attack should. The G. Knight is still probably faster, so he'll probably damage one of your characters for 8HP damage. The hardest, and most unbeneficial enemy here, is the Ameblobe. This creature has a plentiful amount of HP, around 74 or so, and has a damaging spell with medium defense. In order to take out one, you'll have to do the E. Key/Rang Strategy with Nina and Ryu. Bo should use one of his spells. You'll get around 90EP/67GP for killing one within one round. That amount is very stingy since you can get a higher amount of EP and GP from a Warhog or Mage, which are easier to kill than this foe. Overall, you will just basically lose more HP and AP than you need to fighting one of these things. Ameblobes usually appear in groups of three, therefore, it is difficult to kill them in one round. It'll usually take two rounds using the E. Key/Rang Strategy to wipe them out. The spell they can cast is the Flare spell, which does around 20HP vs. one character. They can also recover a bit of their HP, which can get pretty annoying. They are probably faster than at least Bo as well. The only good thing about an Ameblobe is that it occasionally drops a C. Stn. I wouldn't recommend hunting for C. Stns from them, for you can kill easier enemies, such as the G. Knight, Zard, or S. Rider for C. Stns. The last, and most beneficial enemy in this cave is called the Mage. It has around a whopping 85HP. It can cast the Blast and Flame spell, doing around 15-16HP damage to one your characters. It is very weak vs. physical attacks, which is a good thing. They aren't that fast, either, so you should be able to pull off the E. Key/Rang Strategy, with Nina and Ryu, before they can even move. Defeating one in one round nets you a fair 210EP/105GP. A Mage occasionally drops an Acorn. That's basically it for an overview of the monsters around this area. When you're ready, head north from the entrance a bit, where you'll come across a fork. There are three paths you can take. Head into the eastern path and grab yourself a Herb. Go back to the fork and head into the western path this time. Follow this path until you reach another fork with two northern paths. One lies to the east and the other to the west. Head up the eastern path and grab yourself another Herb. Go back to the fork and take the west northern path this time. Open the chest you find on the path for a NiceHT, which you should equip on Nina. Head east from the chest and follow the path until you see an eastern route. Take that, and follow it until you reach a staircase leading down. Instead of going down the staircase, take the path you can see to the south of you and follow it to find a chest with a F. Stn. Go back to the stairs, and go down to the next floor. Once you reach the bottom of the staircase, take the path heading east, to the southeast of you. Follow it to eventually find a chest with a Herb. Go back to the staircase, and take the northern path you can see. You'll then come across two paths one to the north and east. Take the eastern path to find a T. Drop. Head back, and follow the northern path this time. Just keep following this route, and go down the stairs you find. At the bottom of the stairs, take the northern route. Follow this to find a staircase going up. At the top, you'll find two chests, one which contains an Apple, and the other one, a BronzHT. I recommend equipping the BronzHT on Ryu. Go back down the stairs, and take the other path by the staircase you came down earlier. Take the staircase down to the room below. You'll now be in a room full of water. Head south of the staircase you came down from, and descend down the steps into the water. When you've reached a point where you can't go any further press the talk button, and you'll gather the water into the WtrJr! This is the Cleansing Water! You'll automatically be taken back to Romero, where the water will automatically spread.

  • After the water is scattered, the area will shake. A great blast of light will take up the screen, and everything will be green the next minute you open your eyes. Romero sure looks different now! You'll appear in the Elder's house automatically after the restoration process is complete. The Elder will tell you how grateful he is, and will allow you to take the Tablet, the key item in accessing Aqua. It's the chest located in the middle of the four other chests. After opening all five chests, you should now have an added inventory of a Herb, Antdt, Cure, 900GP, and the legendary Tablet! Thank the Elder, and stock up on any supplies you need, as well as selling any items you do not wish to keep. If you need any updated equipment for your characters, feel free to buy them from the Weapon Shop. Store any items if you need to. Talk to the townsfolk if you wish, and rest up and save. When you're ready, exit town.

To get to Aqua, simply put Bo in the lead and walk northwest of Romero to a floating island you see. There is a side event you can do with the WtrJr. For more information on that, go here.

  • Walk straight west until you reach a blue orb implanted on the floor. You'll automatically read the inscription on the tablet (if you have it). The island will then float down, allowing you to enter!

    1st Floor

Once inside, check to make sure your levels are around Level 10 for the party. If they aren't around those levels, then consider leveling up more at the region northeast of Tantar and Tuntar, or getting into a fight with the advanced enemies far west of Romero. The second check is to make sure the Rang is equipped on Ryu. If you don't have it in your inventory, then go get it from the storage you put it in, or from Karma if you still haven't gotten it yet. If you have the LongSD in your inventory, then you could use it against the guardian upstairs. There are basically four enemies that can be found here, and they are all too familiar. They are the S. Rider, G. Knight, Warhog, and Zombie. As you have learned previously in the past, these enemies can all be taken out using the E. Key/Rang Strategy. The only enemy that still may hit you is the G. Knight, who deals a measly 8HP damage to you. When you are ready, go up the stairs you see to the north of the entrance.

    2nd Floor

You'll see a floating platform off to the south. Head onto the floating platform, south of the staircase, where it will carry you off to the other side. I call the place where the platform takes you as a 'landing site'. Once you arrive at the platform's landing site, head straight west, where you will come across a chest with a Herb. Head back and take the first path you see heading north. Ignore the path you see off to the west. Keep heading north along this path to find a Life2. Now head back and take the western path you ignored earlier. You should find two chests along this path. The western chest contains an Acorn, while the eastern one contains an Apple. After opening the chests, continue on through the path until you reach a staircase going up. You can't access the four treasure chests you see to the southeast of you right now, so go up the staircase.

    3rd Floor

Head onto the floating platform you can see to the south of the staircase. The landing site of the platform has three other floating platforms. From where you land, one lies to the west, another to the southwest, and the last, to the southeast. Take the western floating platform. At the landing site, grab the chest you find for a SunHT. I recommend equipping it on Ryu. Take the floating platform by the chest. You'll discover the platform's landing site contains the staircase you came from earlier. Head back to the floating platform south of the staircase. Once you are back to the landing site with the three floating platforms, take the southeastern floating platform. At the landing site, open the chest for an IronSH, equipping it on Ryu. Take the floating platform north of the chest. The landing site is, again, the area with the staircase, which led you up this floor. Take the floating platform south of the staircase. At the landing site with the three platforms, take the southwestern floating platform, and grab yourself a ThiefCL from the chest, which you should equip on Ryu. Ryu's defense should now be pretty well fortified. Take the only floating platform accessible. At the landing site, go up the staircase.

    4th Floor

Open the chest you see, southwest of the staircase, for an Acorn, and take the floating platform by the chest. At the landing spot, you'll see two platforms: one platform is off to the east, and another, to the west. Take the western floating platform. At the landing site, go over and grab the chest for a Hairband for Nina, and take the platform by the chest. Open the chest, at the landing site, for a Herb. Take the floating platform to be back on the landing site with the two floating platforms. This time, take the eastern floating platform. Once you reach the landing site, open the chest you find in the area for a Bracelet. Equipping this last piece on Nina should make her defense well balanced. At this point, you should spot two floating platforms by the chest. Take the northern platform, and follow the path, at the landing site, to eventually come across a staircase heading up. Climb the stairs to the next floor.

    5th Floor

This is the last floor of Aqua you can access for the time being. Simply head east of the staircase, and hop onto the floating platform you come across. At the landing site, you'll see a pillar with a purple orb flashing on top of it. This is similar to the pillar you found in Nanai Dungeon. I call this the Guardian Pillar, for this pillar holds one of the goddess keys. As with any "vital item", it is not quite easy to obtain. So before you walk up to the pillar and press the talk button, heal up and equip the LongSD if you have it. Make sure your AP is at top notch, and that you're around Level 10. When you're ready, walk up to the pillar and press the talk button. The guardian, Wisp, will appear and challenge you for the key!

    Wisp

Wisp has around 620HP, and has two attacks which can hit pretty hard. Wisp can attack using this 'blue ball', which comes out of his mouth, and hits everyone for a suitable amount of damage. It usually does 20 or so HP damage to Bo, while it does 8-12HP damage to the well-fortified Ryu and Nina. His other attack is just a body hit, which does practically the same amount of damage vs. one character (he doesn't use it very often). Since his attacks mainly hurt Bo the most, have Nina cast Fort on Bo. You should heal if your HP gets around 30. If everyone's HP gets too low, have everyone heal or use Meat to heal the party for 70HP. Wisp should be slower than everyone in your group. You could cast Atk-up on Ryu if you want. If Nina is busy, and Ryu's attacks aren't doing very much, have him use the E. Key, instead of physically attacking. Bo should use Fry. Using the Fry and E. Key in one round makes Wisp lose a total of 110HP. If Bo's AP gets low, have him or Nina use an Acorn to regenerate it. Keep casting, attacking, and healing. Wisp will fall pretty fast because he holds no second wind. You get 1200EP/300GP from this battle, a decent amount.

    !!!!Victory!!!!

Wisp will congratulate you on a job well done, and let you take the key! He will disappear, leaving the key's access in your hands. Simply press the talk button in front of the pillar to release the key. There will be some noise, and the key will fly around in circles, eventually landing into your possession. You'll obtain the KngKey! Use this to access the stone robot located northeast of Tantar and Tuntar! Don't worry about the locked doors you passed earlier because you cannot access them at this time. When you're ready, exit Aqua.

    World Map

Make your way back to Tantar!

    Tantar

Nothing much is new in town. Be sure to save and rest up. As for purchasing any new equipment, don't bother. If you need to buy any Herbs, Acorns, or anything similar, visit Tuntar and do so. When you're ready, exit whichever town you are in.

    World Map

The Stone Robot is roughly northeast of Tantar and Tuntar. If you need specifics, then follow the directions below. Start by heading north of Tantar and crossing the bridge you come across. Go up the slope to the north you can see. When you see a path outlined in the ground, follow it. When the path ends, continue on straight north until you meet the border of the ocean. From here, head west. You should see the Stone Robot by now. Go down the slope to the south that you can see. From the slope, head east, and go down another slope to the south. You should now be on the level with the robot. You can enter it by heading into its right foot.

  • Being at least Level 11 for all characters will make this dungeon a cinch. The enemies here are all too familiar. They are the Blurp, Zombie, and Midget- all which can be taken out so easily by using the E. Key/Rang Strategy. From the entrance, go north and take the staircase to the next floor. Take the stairs you find after that, as well as the next. You'll finally come to a different-looking area, where you should head on east. Open the chests you come across for a Herb and BronzHT. Equip the BronzHT on Ryu if you don't have the SunHT on him. Continue on east, up the staircase. On the next floor, head southwest, from the staircase, where you'll come across an area with a heart-like mechanism. In front of it, you'll see the General and his cohorts! Make sure you are healed up to full, and initiate combat by talking to him.

    Lancer/General/Lancer

The two Lancers have around 100HP, while the General has around 200-240HP. The attacks of both the General and his Lancers don't hit all too hard. Use the E. Key/Rang Strategy on the first two rounds. Bo should cast Fry on the General both times. In just two rounds, you'll get rid of the Lancers, and drop the General to his second wind, 'Arrgh!'. One more round using the E. Key/Rang/Fry technique and it's all over. You gain a good 1873EP/650GP from this simple fight.

    !Victory!

The mechanism will now be all yours. All you have to do is walk one space north of where you were previously, and press the talk button. You'll automatically use the KngKey, and the robot will be activated!! Now you have to get to the control room. To begin your search, head into the Teleporter (remember this from Nanai?), south of where you are. You'll reappear onto the same Teleporter. Head back, northeast, to the staircase you came from. Instead of heading down the staircase, walk into the Teleporter west of it. When you reappear, you'll see a Teleporter located to the north of you. Ignore that, and head into the northern path beside it (east of it for specifics). You will come across another Teleporter, which you should enter. You'll notice, that after all of this, there are no more monster encounters in here! Use this to your advantage. Anyway, once you reappear, head north. You'll eventually come to a choice of going into a southwestern, or northeastern Teleporter. Head into the southwestern Teleporter. Open the chest in the area you reappear in for an Acorn. Reenter the Teleporter you came from to disappear, and then reappear, back at the heart mechanism area. Work your way back to the fork of the southwestern and northeastern Teleporters. This time (if you haven't already guessed), take the northeastern Teleporter. Take the path you see when you reappear, and enter the first Teleporter you see. Once you reappear, open the chests you find for a Life2 and Mrbl1. Remember, the Mrbl1, when used, gives the user an automatic SLAM hit! You should save this for later, just like the Stns and the other Mrbl1 you found in the rebuilt Camlon. Take the Teleporter back, to reappear in the previous area. Follow the path, just like last time. However, unlike last time, ignore the first Teleporter you find, and next after that. Once you reappear, head north, into the next Teleporter you can see. You'll reappear in a room with a device similar to what you saw at Nanai Dungeon's end. Walk up to the device and press the talk button. You'll now have control of the robot! Nina will order the robot to take the party to the river. The scene will shift over to what appears to be the robot's line of sight (los). It will travel to the area with the rocks blocking the river's flow. The scene will shift back to the party, where Nina will order the robot to destroy the rocky dam. A cut-scene showing the robot firing a blue beam will commence. The rock dam will be destroyed! The river will flow in, restoring Tantar's and Tuntar's water supply! The scene will shift back to the party, where they will celebrate! If you have nothing more to do, exit the robot.

    World Map

If you head to Tuntar, you can visit the chief and his daughter to learn about a wedding. If you need to, stock up on items and store anything you want. When you're ready, head to Tantar.

    Tantar

    Tantar's Treasures

  • Herb
  • Key
  • If you talk to the townspeople, they will thank you for restoring the river. Go to the elder's house and talk to the elder. He'll ask you to go get the Ring. He'll open a passageway under his seat, where the "Key" is. You need this key to enter the cave the Ring is in, so head down the passageway. Follow the path below to find two chests. The bottom one contains a Herb, while the top contains the Key! Do anything that you have left to do in Tantar (rest, talk, etc). When you're ready, save and exit town.

    World Map

Remember where you left the robot? That's right, you left it north of Tantar and Tuntar. Once you reach it, you'll see a cave right by it. This cave leads to the cave containing Tantar's ring. When you're ready, enter the cave, and prepare to do some mild exploring.

  • This cave is really easy. There are no monster encounters, plus the path is straightforward. You could call it the calm before the storm. Anyway, head north from and entrance and follow the long, winding path. As you travel, you should pick up a W. Ptn. You'll eventually reach the end of this simple cave.

    World Map

You'll see a cave off to the northwest of the one you just exited. That is the cave which contains Tantar's ring. Head into the cave.

  • There are no enemies here you haven't met in the past. The Blurp, Zard, Warhog, Zombie, and even the Ameblobe can be taken out easily by having Nina and Ryu use the E. Key/Rang Strategy, followed by an attack of Bo's. The EP and GP gained from the enemies, beside the Ameblobe, are pretty decent. These familiar enemies are ok to fight, but some new ones would be good as well! Anyway, head north from the entrance and unlock the door using the key. Walk up north and you'll see an unactive Teleporter along with a staircase heading down. You can't do anything with the Teleporter now, so head down the stairs. On the next floor, head down the staircase, as well as the next you find after them. Head west of the staircase you emerge from and follow the path. Go up the staircase you come across. On the next floor, head down the steps into water, south of the staircase. Head southwest of the steps to find a waterfall flowing off the ledge. This is the only way to get down to the next floor. Jump off the waterfall! Once you land, follow the path down south that you can see. You'll eventually reach a fork where you can either head west or east. Head down the western path. When you get to a fork of two steps, go up the northern steps and grab yourself a Life. Go back down the steps and take the eastern steps this time. Once on dry land, follow the path, and when you see some more steps, head down into the water. Follow the water path up north to find yourself heading up another set of steps. Follow the path, and ignore the staircase you see. Instead, head south of the staircase and pick up a Life2. Head back north and go down the stairs you passed earlier. Down on the next floor, head west of the staircase and follow the straightforward path. Go up the staircase you come across. Go up the next staircase you find, as well as the next. Head directly north of the staircase, ignoring the steps to the east. Open the chest you find for 2000GP. Head back and go down the steps you passed earlier. In the water, head a few steps to the east, and then a couple more to the north. Head east when you can. Go up the first steps you see, and grab the chest in this area for a Herb. Afterwards, go back down the steps. Once in the water, head eastward, up the steps you find. On dry land, head straight south. Head into the second path you see heading west. You'll find a chest with an Acorn. Go back up and take the other western path you passed previously. Head down the steps you find. In the water, follow the path, and go down the waterfall you come to. Once you land, follow the path and go up the first steps you see. Head up the slopes in the area, and open the chest you find, at the very top, for a SkySH- which you should equip on Nina. Head back into the water and continue on east. Go up the steps you come across and open the blue chest you find for the Ring! A celebrating-type of music will play. Equip the Ring on Ryu, for it raises his attack by 10! Head into the Teleporter that is flashing to the north of the chest. You'll be warped back to the entrance. If you didn't miss anything in the cave, or are just plain ready to leave, head south, towards the exit of the cave. Once outside, travel back to Tantar.

    Tantar

Save at the Dragon Shrine, and talk to the couple you see to the south of the Dragon Statue. They'll say the ceremony is ready. I guess that means the marriage is about to get underway! Rest up if it's not day, or if you're plain tired. When it's day, talk to the townsfolk to learn a bit about the couple. When you're ready to attend the wedding, enter the elder's house. Inside, talk to the chief, and he'll tell you that the wedding is about to begin (if it is night, you'll go into sleep mode and wake up to the next day). Watch the marriage ritual. After they kiss, the whole place will be blasted with "party stuff". The ladies will come in to dance, and joyous music will play. The chief and elder will both tell you that you can cross the river to the south, using the Stone Robot. There, you'll find a new town. After you're done socializing around town and are ready to leave, save and prepare to journey to a new town (aka exit town)!

    World Map

When you exit town, you'll find the Stone Robot directly in front of Tuntar! You'll discover the General has taken over! He'll then command the Stone Robot to destroy the town of Tuntar. In one quick scene, the town of Tuntar is demolished. The General then commands the destruction of Tantar! Surprisingly, the robot refuses the command. The General will then ponder over what is wrong. Nina and Bo will comment on how the time is right to enter the robot and reclaim control! If you don't have a plentiful amount of acorns (around 20 or so), then I suggest you buy some. If you can, gather some Meats. Even though Tuntar is destroyed, that doesn't mean you can't head to another town and stock up on supplies! When you're ready, enter the Stone Robot.

  • I recommend being at least Level 13 for the whole party. If you are looking for a good place to build EP, not to mention GP, try fighting the monsters near the well far west of Romero (you'll have to have Bo to go through the trees). If you find the place too difficult to find or you want easier enemies with good EP, then try the Warhogs, near where you found the Stone Robot, before he was activated. Nothing really has changed much in the design of the robot. However, there are enemies around here. Two enemies you can find, the Zombie, and G. Knight are easily dispatched of with the E. Key and Rang. As for the new enemy, Fungus, you'll have to watch out for him. A single round using the Rang, E. Key, and one last attack by Bo should be able to barely take him down. Unlike his weak brother, the Stoll, this guy can use Devistat, which will damage all party members for 20-30HP damage. He can also paralyze you. His physical attack is too shabby either. You shouldn't play around with this guy. My advice, take him down before he can even attack. You'll not only avoid damage this way, but you'll gain 360EP and 180GP. As for where to go, head over to the control room. I'm not referring to that heart place, but that one place you can only get to by using the Teleporters. You've been to it before, so there's no need to go over the directions again. If you're having trouble, refer to the "Stone Robot" section somewhere up there^. Once you reach the control room, you'll find the General. Heal up to full, and recover any AP you may have used, especially on Bo. If you have the LongSD, equip it. Take a deep breath, and talk to the General. He'll threaten to take the Ring from you! The boss battle of the century will then initiate!

    Gremlin

This is the last boss you'll face for the first 1/3 of the game. You better bet he is tough! This guy has a whopping 1200HP, and his defense isn't low, either. If you have Stns., then use them all on him! This should help whittle at least 1/4 or so of his HP. Before we further head on about what to use against this guy, let's talk about what this guy can use on the heroes. Gremlin basically has two attacks. His physical attack can hit Bo for around 20HP or so, while around 12-15HP for Ryu and Nina. He also has an attack where he attacks all the party members with his 'fire breath'. This does around 12-15HP damage to Ryu and Nina, while around 20-26HP or so to Bo. Gremlin will probably be faster than Bo, so if you wish, cast Ag-up on Bo. Since Gremlin's attacks do a suitable amount of damage to your characters, have them heal if their HP gets around 40 or so. If everyone is low on HP, have everyone heal themself in a single round, or have Nina use Meat (if you have any). As for what to use vs. Gremlin, Bo and Ryu should keep using the Stns. they have while Nina casts Fort on everyone, starting with Bo. After she is done with that, have her cast Atk-up on Ryu. Once your Stns. are gone, have Bo use Fry, while Ryu uses the E. Key. If Nina is done powering up the party, then have her use the E. Key while Ryu attacks with whatever weapon he has on him. Bo's Fry is essential to knocking this guy down quickly. If Bo runs out of AP, have Nina or Ryu refill his AP with an Acorn. Bo should repeatedly use Fry while someone uses the E. Key, basically every round. This should do 110HP damage to Gremlin each round. It'll eventually come down to 'Gremlin got mad', his second wind. Now this is the hard part (as if before it wasn't). Gremlin's attack goes up a bit more, so his breath attack now does 16-20HP damage to Ryu and Nina, while Bo takes up to 28-35HP damage! Be sure to keep an eye on your HP! Once it gets to around 40, heal immediately If you run out of Acorns, have Nina cast Atk-up on Bo (if she can), and have Bo and Ryu attack together, while Nina uses the E. Key. If all your healing items are used up, as well as Nina's AP, then just keep attacking using physical attacks along with the E. Key, and pray the Gremlin dies before you do. If you were well prepared, about five or six more rounds using the E. Key/Fry Strategy should finish him off. You get a kind of harsh amount of EP and GP when you win, 1400EP/800GP to be exact. However, the good news is, you're near the end of the first 1/3 of the game!

    !!!!!Victory!!!!!

The General will then grow angry and attempt to destroy Tantar once again. However, the robot does not respond, and the General dies. You now have control of the robot again! Before you can take command, the robot will seemingly move by itself! It'll drop you off near the volcano. A cut-scene will then commence, showing the robot sacrificing itself in the volcano. Nina and Bo will then comment on how they heard a voice coming from the robot, saying to them 'not to make the same mistake', and 'goodbye'. It is a sad scene, but you must pull together to move on. The robot's sacrifice in the volcano has caused it to erupt, therefore flowing into the river. The river has grown hard, making it now accessible to cross by foot. It is now time to head south, towards the golden city of Auria.
