After Bo joins you, you have the option of fighting some 'advanced enemies'. If you're willing to face them, stock up on plenty of acorns. Head to Romero, put Bo in the lead, and head west until you reach Karma. Now head northwest of Karma till you see a path open, with no trees in sight, down south of you. This path should be on the border of the ocean. Follow this path until you find an area with a well (you'll know it when you see it). Walk around here to encounter enemies you'd normally find later on in the game. These enemies include the Warlok, Crab, Buzzer, and LancerX. Beating these guys usually net you around 800+ EP per battle. A Crab right off the minimum gives you 1000+ EP. Most of the enemies do roughly around 12HP damage to you- 25HP being the max (w/o a slam). A good strategy to use vs. these monsters is the E. Key/Hold/Fry Strat. Basically, Ryu uses the E. Key, Nina casts hold on the monster to paralyze it, while Bo does major damage with his Fry attack. This should cut down 110 of the enemy's usual 300HP per round (applies to LancerXs and Crabs). So it takes about three rounds to kill most of them. The Hold spell works well- leaving the enemy hopeless for one or two rounds. Note that the Buzzer isn't as strong as the others, but comes in groups. A quick whiff using the E. Key/Rang Strat. should kill off a Buzzer Group in two rounds. Using Bo's and Nina's spells will make them low on AP eventually. That is what the acorns are for! Use a few of them on Bo or Nina if their AP gets low. You can power up here, or stick to fighting Warhogs around the area northeast of Tantar and Tuntar.
