EP/GP TheoryNow each and every one of you are probably wondering what the EP and GP Gain Theory is. It is a theory that I have made up myself. What it is is a theory to BoF1's EP and GP gain system. Let us take a look at the Creep, an enemy that can be found in Camlon Castle early in the game. You'll notice that when you beat it at a low level, it took about 2 rounds to kill it and you get 10EP and 10GP. Now, you're at a higher level, and are able defeat a Creep in a single blow. You'll notice that you recieve 12EP and 12GP!! Now, here is where the EP and GP Gain Theory comes in. I believe that the enemies EP and GP alter through each attack round. Each enemy has their own custom decrease, excluding bosses and a few enemies. Take the Creep for example, its EP and GP decrease by 2 if you can't defeat it the first round. The Creep and Bulla both provide excellent examples of an enemy's different increases. Defeating a Creep in two rounds nets you 10EP and 10GP, where as in one round, 12EP and 12GP are gained. It seems the Creep's EP and GP decrease by 2 each attack round. You can get 4EP and 6GP from a Bulla if you defeat it in one round. The round set-up decrease for each enemy is basically the same: first round, you recieve the most EP and GP; second-fourth rounds grant the second most EP and GP; fifth-sixth rounds the third most EP and GP; and the seventh round and beyond gives you the least EP and GP from an enemy. Some enemies like the Flea and Bulla don't have a seventh and up EP and GP decrease. Basically, the early enemies are a bit different than the later enemies you'll meet. For bosses, most you can't kill in one round, so the round one EP and GP gain does not apply. Note that counter attacks DO COUNT as within the same round as attacking, so if you defeat a Creep in two hits, where one attack was a counter, you recieve 12EP and 12GP. |
