As the water rushed forth, Ryu, Nina, and Bo hurried to find an exit. As they began to lose hope, a click came from the middle of the room, stopping the water's forthcoming. A shadow arised from the hidden staircase, to reveal the man was none other then Karn, a well-known thief from Bleak. Perhaps it was coincidence they were saved by him, for he was the man they sought. A conversation between the four enveloped, leading to the discovery that Karn was in search of this 'Book'. It was claimed that this 'Book' contained the secrets of being a master thief. Being the case that the party could not drag Karn back to Auria without the 'Book', they offered to help Karn in his quest to finding this 'Book'. Without hesitation, the four hurried down the shadowed staircase. With the help with Ryu, Nina, and Bo, Karn was able to obtain the book's secrets- which came as a surprise to what it really was. Regardless, Karn felt victorious, and with no more doubt in his mind, aided the party in solving the crisis in Auria, not to mention obtaining two of the goddess keys. It was not certain whether Karn would be with the party longer, but that was well fortified when he was accepted by the Captain to sail with the rest of the party to Scande, where Zog reigned. Little did the party know that Karn's ancestory would prove to be invaluable later on in their journey.
Battle-Wise
Overall, Karn's agility is his 'master' attribute. He gains quite a deal of agility each level up. His luck is pretty good, as well. As for his offense and other attributes other than defense, they are pretty average. Karn's defense alone isn't going to cut it, so upgrade his equipment whenever you can. It is safe to say that you can put Karn in the front row, since the equipment you have on him should provide him with some fortified protection. When you first get him, you could place just Ryu in the front, but I don't think it's 'very fair' to have one guy taking all the damage and brute force from your enemies. It's kind of better to 'share' the onslaught. Though Karn's attack is average, I recommend he use a combat item, such as the FlameRP, E. Key, or even the Stns. The damage and usefulness each one does to your enemies is greater than that of Karn's initial attack, which is the reason why you should have him do that. If you feel in 'panic', or in need to heal fast, Karn may be the guy who saves the day with that one herb. Since he is pretty quick, he may be able to use a recovery item before the enemy begins attacking. Later on, Karn will able to 'fuse' with other party members, transforming him into a powerful being. This is VERY useful for the fact that his attributes are greatly increased. If he is transformed, most likely he can ditch the 'combat item strategy', unless his attack isn't hitting very hard. In conclusion, Karn is a guy you'll want to have in your combat team almost all the time. This was only a scrap of what Karn's abilities really are.
